Gerrard happy with a point

"We needed to get something," said the Liverpool midfielder. "We showed them in the second half that we could match them.

"We could have sneaked it at the end as well. We came here for a win. We've always had the confidence although we've had a bad run."

Gerrard also believes that Liverpool are not out of the running for the title, despite their recent run of form.

"We are still in it. We've still got a bit to do and the important thing to do today was not to lose."
