"We needed that after the defeat at Spurs and the draw at Wolves," said the Liverpool captain. "We needed to give the fans something to think about.
"Credit to Bruno - he has taken a lot of stick but he has bounced back with those goals.
"We were up for it and into the last 16 we go. Everyone knows that we are a good cup side and we want to get back to Cardiff.
"Whoever gets us in the next round knows they will be in for a tough match."
