Gerrard, who scored mid week against PSV, said he felt his hard work on the training ground was the key to the turn of form, not his return to the centre of the park.
He said, "I don't think it is to do with the position. I think it is down to my personal shooting which hasn't been good enough. But I have been working hard in training and I can feel the form slowly coming back. I know I can play better and if I find that level of form I know the goals will come."
