Gerrard makes Ballon d'Or shortlist

Gerrard is one of seventeen Premiership players to have made the illustrious shortlist, including Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Man Utd's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Confusingly, Everton's Tim Cahill has also been included on the shortlist, alongside European greats such as Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and AC Milan's Kaka.

The decision will be made by a team of football journalists, with the result to be announced November 27th.
