Gerrard: Making owen captain was right choice

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard believes the decision to make his pal Michael Owen the England captain tomorrow is the right one.

"I think it's a good choice to make Michael captain. I spoke to him shortly after he was told and he's over the moon about the decision," said Steve.

"Hopefully this will give him a big boost for the coming weeks with Liverpool and England."
