"You have to be disciplined when you play against Everton but the system we are playing allows me to get into the box more running from deep," said the Liverpool skipper, who had several chances to score in the game.

"I'm enjoying it as it's very attacking. I had a few chances against Everton and I'm sure I'll score one soon.

"Nigel Martyn made some great saves and we could easily have won the match had it not been for him."
