Gerrard proud to notch up 300

The Reds skipper scored the opening goal of a 3-1 win over Blackburn Rovers that sees them extend their lead over Everton to five points.

"It's a really proud day to clock up that many games," he said. "It's a great day, a good performance, we're just disappointed with conceding late on.

"It's going to be a good chase but we're confident we can achieve fourth place."
