Gerrard ready for Hamann return

The 29-year-old German international could be set for an imminent return to the Liverpool starting line-up, and Gerrard admits his central-midfield partner's absence has been keenly felt by all at Anfield.

Gerrard said: "I think the balance in midfield will come right when Didi Hamann is back. We've missed him. He's been brilliant for us in that screening role over the years."
