Gerrard remains positive

Gerrard admits that Liverpool were outclassed by Arsenal at Highbury but remains convinced that there were positives from the Liverpool display to take into the final run in.

"We did really well up until half-time. In fact, I thought there were periods in the first half when we were battering them. We scored two good goals and could have had more. It was a nice move for Michael?s goal and we were feeling really confident then," says the Reds captain.

"At half-time we all believed we were going to get something out of the game but then they stepped it up in the second half. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit we were outclassed in the second half.

"Saying that, I think there are positives we can take out of the game. We've got to think how we did in the first half and play like that against Charlton. If we play like that for the whole game, we've a good chance of taking three points."
