"It was a blow to the muscle, not a tear or a strain, which is good news. He has a clot on the hip and that restricts his movement.
"It will take a time to disperse and so we will have to wait to see if he can join us in Moscow. As for the others, we are hoping they are not too serious but Chris Kirkland is a worry.
"He hurt his back playing for the U21's and it is a recurring thing, which is a concern for us. We will have to get to the bottom of it because we don't want his career disrupted in this way."
