Gerrard struggling

Gerrard is losing his battle to be fit in time for Saturday's home game against Derby County. The Liverpool captain missed the wins over Sunderland and Toulouse this week because of his toe injury and is likley to miss out again at the weekend.
"We'll train again this afternoon, but I spoke to Steven again yesterday and the news was not very positive. It will be very difficult for him to play on Saturday. The doctor will continue to help him, but maybe it's too early for this weekend," said Rafa Benitez.
