"People do revisit the museum and I think, if you keep changing things, it brings people back," said the Liverpool skipper, while recording a short film at the Walker Art Gallery. "If you freshen things up it makes it more interesting the second time."

"I think you have to live in Liverpool to really appreciate it, realise how much of a special place it is and what it's got to offer.

"Some modern art is easier on the eye, but I prefer some of the older paintings in the Walker. I like to look at the expressions on the faces."

The film will be shown at the museum today in front of an audience of Merseyside school children, then broadcast on the Big Screen in Clayton Square. Click here to watch it on the Liverpool Museums blog.
