Gerrard voted player of the round

Gerrard gave a man of the match performance in Liverpool's 7-0 demolition of Birmingham at St Andrews to run away with the award. Gerrard polled 65% of the vote for player of the round with second placed Dean Ashton polling only 20%.

Gerrard's award means he will be presented with an engraved silver salver and also wins £1000 worth of UMBRO football kit for a local school, club or organisation of his choice. VIP attendance at this season's FA Cup final is also guaranteed.

Gerrard is the second Liverpool player to win this award this season after Jamie Carragher won it for his performance against Manchester United in round five.
