"We were very pleased with our performance," said the Liverpool skipper.
"Of late we get criticised for not scoring enough goals so hopefully we've proved a few critics wrong tonight.
"We were playing well when we weren't scoring many and the chances are going in for us now.
"The strikers have got a bit of confidence back and they are all getting in on it."
