Gillett backs Benitez

The Liverpool boss is under pressure after the club lost four consecutive games - the first time in 22 years.

But the American co-owner, attending the reserves game at Prenton Park on Wednesday night, insists that he fully backs his manager.

"Our family is extraordinarily pleased with him," he said. "We think hes as good as there is and we've extended his contract."
