Gillingham are fully aware that victory over Leeds at Elland Road could provide them with another money spinning clash against premiership opposition at Anfield. Liverpool, of course, must first see off the threat posed by a Crystal Palace side who were unlucky not to claim victory over the Reds on Sunday.

Hessenthaler fully admits that his players would rather face Liverpool if they were to pull of a huge cup shock at Leeds.

He said: "Obviously I'm very pleased with the draw, or the possible draw, but first we've got a mountain to climb at Elland Road.

"It's a really big draw for all four clubs to be honest. Palace, Leeds and Liverpool will be looking at it with the same interest as us.

"But, as I say, we've got a job to do first. The further incentive is there to go to Elland Road to play for the chance of possibly playing at Anfield, which is obviously great for everyone
