Goma: Owen is feeling the strain

Once again Owen did not see much of the ball at Anfield and the Fulham defender believes he could see Owen's frustrations in the lack of quality service.

"There was not much service for Michael Owen, and you could tell it affected him as the game went on," said Goma. "The balls were not coming through for him and that meant he did not have the opportunity to show what he can do.

"That did not surprise us because he has been quiet for a while now. You could see the disappointment in his manner. You can imagine how disappointed he must have felt. We saw less and less of him as the game went on."

Goma has also admitted Liverpool will find it difficult to finish in fourth place, where both Newcastle and Charlton can overtake them if they win their games in hand.

"It is going to be very difficult for Liverpool to get that fourth place now. It will be very close." said the Fulham defender.
