Gonzales move may be on

Liverpool have signed the Chilean winger but he will not come to Anfield until he qualifies for a work permit. Gonzales will not need a work permit in six months time as he will have worked for five years in the EU. However, Rafael Benitez hopes to bring the player over next month.

There is a loophole that allows a person to earn a work permit when they do not qualify because of their country's FIFA ranking if they are a youngster of outstanding talent. This is the loophole the Reds are applying under.

Liverpool will find out if they have been successful in their application in the next ten days.
