Grip hails Owen and Rooney

Owen and his 17-year-old Everton counterpart may be the fiercest of rivals in the Premiership, but Grip feels that the pair can form a fearsome partnership for England for many years to come.

Grip said: "Can Rooney and Owen be the forward partnership for the next ten years? Absolutely. They could be.

"They compliment each other so well although there are other players coming through. But I think Rooney also looks comfortable in the role he played in the second half against Macedonia."
