Group A goes to the death

While Liverpool were beating Porto 4-1 at Anfield last night, Besiktas were beating Marseille 2-1 in Istanbul. That means all four teams are capable of qualifying for the knockout stages going into the final games in two weeks' time.

If Liverpool beat Marseille on December 11th they are guarenteed to progress and now that Besiktas have something to play for in their final game with Porto the Reds have a chance of topping the group should the Turks get something in Portugal.
