The Reds midfielder is in the middle of a season long loan with Bolton. He has impressed during his time at the Reebok and already there is talk of the Trotters wanting to make the move permanent. However, Guthrie still has hopes of making it at Anfield.

"It's good for me to play week in, week out. It's good experience. Life at Bolton is great. There's a great set of lads and I'm loving playing," he told liverpoolfc.tv.

"I haven't heard anything from Liverpool yet. I just want to keep playing and doing well for myself and then I'll see what happens.

"Liverpool is my club. I've been to a couple of the European games this season and I look out for them whenever they play.

"I love the club and I see my future being a Liverpool player. Hopefully that can be but if not then I have proven that I can play at this level."
