Hamann dismisses Euro memories

The former World and European champions face another elimination at the group stages just as they did in Holland and Belgium four years ago, but the midfield general knows that qualification is at least in their own hands in Portugal.

Hamann said: "If we win against the Czechs, we're through. Then it depended on the result of the other game.

"We have to concentrate on what we have to do. I am confident. We are tournament specialists. I hope we will still be able to say that on Thursday."
