Hamann happy at Anfield

The 29-year-old German international has been consistently linked with a move away from Merseyside in recent months - with former club Bayern Munich said to be favourites for his prized signature. The player himself, though, insists that his future is as a Liverpool player.

Hamann said: "This speculation has been around for the last two or three seasons and it always seems to come back at the same stage each year.

"I've never said that I want to leave. I've got two years left on my contract and I am happy at Liverpool and enjoying my football, so it's paper talk. I don't know where the rumours come from and I don't really want to know. As far as I'm concerned I'm happy and there's no point moving."
