"I have three years left of my contract with Liverpool and I have no intention of leaving them now," he said.
Real Madrid showed an interest in the German midfielder last year after his performances helped Liverpool to FA Cup, Worthington Cup and UEFA Cup success.
"I won't rule out a move in the future to either Italy or Spain, though," he added.
