"Didi's fully fit. He was back in training with us last Thursday. We felt as though last weekend was too soon for him. We've worked on his fitness a bit more and he's been with us all this week, so he's available for selection," says Pearce.
"Personality-wise, he is great to have around the place, and as I played alongside Didi at Newcastle I knew what I was getting. The players and the staff here like him, he's a very likeable guy and he's funny in his own way, without meaning to be!
"He knows full well that I pick my team on form and I know he wants to be involved against Liverpool. I have got to be realistic and fair across the board as well, if I deem he is up for selection, he'll play. If I decide that people are ahead of him then they will start in front of him."
