Hamann wants to top group

Both Liverpool and Chelsea have already qualified for the last sixteen of the Champions League so there is not a lot riding on tonight's game. However, if the Reds avoid defeat tonight they will top the group and Hamann says the team are determined to do just that.

He said: "We want to win this group, that is for sure. But the most important thing is that we've already qualified because this was a tough group with Betis and Anderlecht.

"It won't be the end of the world if we don't win it but the mood in the camp is good at the moment and we want a result to maintain our winning run.

"You can't get a tougher match than against the English champions. They were probably the best team we faced in Europe last season and I can't see us coming up against many better teams than them this time around."
