Hammers try for Bellamy swap deal

Liverpool want at least £8m from West Ham for Bellamy after the Wales striker agreed personal terms with the London club. However, since the Reds are interested in Hammers winger Yossi Benayoun, West Ham offered a straight swap for the players, claiming they valued Benayoun at £8m.

Rafael Benitez has dismissed the swap deal as the Reds only rate Benayoun at around £3.5m.
