Hammers want Bellamy

Bellamy has been linked with West Ham for a few weeks now, but the Hammers have stepped up their interest in the Liverpool striker after Darren Bent turned down a move to Upton Park.

West Ham are said to be preparing a £9m bid or possibly a cash plus Yossi Benayoun offer but the interest in Bellamy from Roma and Juventus will push the price nearer to Liverpool's £12m valuation of the player.
