Hansen: Anfield in crisis

The defeat at Sunderland was Liverpool's fourth consecutive Premiership defeat - the club's worst run for nineteen years.

Hansen is not afraid to admit that such a run constitutes a crisis for any team with aspirations of becoming Premiership champions.

"Count up those missed points since November 9 and it almost defies belief. One point from a possible 18 and I think it is fair to say they have a crisis at Anfield. "

"Especially with an Everton team waiting next weekend who are flying on confidence and not prepared to take any prisoners against their famous neighbours."

"Don't talk to me about injuries or bad decisions. Liverpool teams just cannot go on losing runs like this because one point from 21 - coupled with defeat against Everton - would be unthinkable.

"That Champions League place next year means everything to the club and there will be no good news at the training ground this morning."
