Former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp has spoken out to praise Michael Owen for his performance against Argentina yesterday.
Owen hit the post during the game, caused the opposition huge problems and won the penalty that enabled England to secure the points.
"He proved his undoubted talent with a great display," said Redknapp. "He was a constant menace for the Argentinian defence and it was no surprise that he was heavily involved in our goal.
"It was definitely a penalty, there's no doubt about it. He came inside and Mauricio Pochettino brought him down so the spot-kick was the right decision."
