Gerard Houllier has used the former Leeds man on both flanks as well as playing him behind a front two during pre-season and Farina believes that the 24-year-old can shine wherever he is chosen to play.

Farina said: "When you talk about Harry, from day one I said he could pretty much play wherever he wanted.

"I've got my views where he is most effective and Gerard Houllier has his. Harry is capable of filling almost any role across the frontline and that has to be a good thing."
