Heinze deal still alive?

The Reds were told by Alex Ferguson yesterday that he would not be selling them the Argentinian defender. However, Heinze is believed to have written consent from Man Utd officials allowing him to join any club that bids £6m for his services.

The period in which Heinze could have bought out the final two years of his contract has now expired so any move is now reliant on Man Utd agreeing to sell the player.
