Henchoz doubtful for Birmingham clash

The Swiss international was substituted after 65 minutes of the 1-0 win in Auxerre and seems unlikely to be fit for this Sunday's match. It was initially thought that Henchoz had suffered an ankle injury last night but Gerard Houllier has confirmed that the player picked up the injury the day before the match.

Houllier said:"Stephane twisted his ankle at the end of training yesterday and was a big doubt just before the game.

"But we decided he would start and go as far as he could. I must praise him for his character. He showed he is not a quitter but a fighter. He was great, you count your men in difficult times."
