Henchoz: I'd break a leg for the Reds

The Swiss international defender, who will be badly missed in Saturday's Merseyside derby, made clear his feelings for the fans of Liverpool in this week's LFC magazine.

Henchoz told LFC magazine: "It makes me proud [when fans chant my name] and it shows that people must be happy with what I am doing. When you play for Liverpool and you feel that there are people behind you, pushing you on to surpass yourself, then you really want to do well for those people.

"I think back to the Worthington Cup final. I can remember being on the bus and seeing all the people outside the stadium. I thought then that if it meant having to break a leg to prevent a goal, then I would break my leg for those people."
