However, having made only eight first team appearances and after a change of manager in Gordon Strachan, the 30-year-old Swiss defender's opportunities for first team football were not guaranteed.
"Celtic have not been in touch so he will be leaving for sure," confirmed his agent Jorg Vonmatt.
"Things haven't worked out for him for one reason or another and so he will definitely be leaving Scotland. "Stephane has some offers from other clubs but where they are I cannot reveal too much at this moment."
