Henchoz to join Wigan

The 30-year-old former Liverpool centre back was released by Celtic at the end of last season and has flown out to Denmark to join the Latics for pre-season.

"Stephane would be a great signing," said Jewell. "He just has to prove his fitness.

"Hopefully something will happen when we get back home."
