Henry not put off by Hicks legal action

The Texan co-owner of the club moved quickly to enforce a restraining order on Wednesday night claiming claim $1.6 billion damages, only minutes before the announcement of the sale of the club to Henry's NESV Group.

But it is believed that Henry is determined to ensure the sale goes through, claiming he has a legally binding agreement with the board of Liverpool FC.

RBS meanwhile are meeting to discuss the deadline for loan repayment on Friday, and it is believed that they are keen to enforce that in order to put pressure on Hicks to sell.

Hicks' restraint order quotes 25th October as the date set for the legal challenge although it is not yet known whether this will be back at the High Courts or in Texas where the order was imposed.
