Liverpool's Emile Heskey is hoping to recover in time for Saturday's Premiership game at home to Derby County.
Heskey has been responding well to treatment on his hamstring injury which ruled him out of the win over Sunderland and yesterday's England international. He's making good progress and could make the game.
Meanwhile the much talked about Hamann underwent a check-up at the club today after returning from international duty. The German sustained an ankle injury and missed Germany's game against Argentina.
