Heskey escapes UEFA ban

The burly forward appeared to hit out at Turkish officials during a heated confrontation that involved as many as 50 players and staff from both participating nations.

It had been first thought that 25-year-old Heskey would face a three-match international ban for his actions, but it is bow confirmed that no individual charges will be made by European football's governing body.

Both the English and Turkish Football Associations will, however, be charged for the improper conduct of their players.
