Heskey set to sit out Sofia

The much-maligned 26-year-old has failed to recover from the back injury that forced him out of Liverpool's dismal FA Cup defeat at Portsmouth at half-time in time to face the Bulgarians.

Czech striker Milan Baros, who made an impressive return to action as Heskey's replacement at Fratton Park, could now claim an opportunity alongside Michael Owen.
