Liverpool go into tomorrow's crucial clash with Arsenal 14 points behind their opponents. Heskey, though, remains unperturbed by the difficult task facing his side.
He said: "I think it's too early in the year to rule ourselves out of the title race. Arsenal obviously do have a big lead, but hopefully we can put some results together and go on a run ourselves. Then who knows really.
"The game with Arsenal is now a massive one for us. Everyone at the club is really looking forward to it. They are the team that everyone is gunning for and this is the perfect test for us. Everyone is ready for them."
