Home friendly planned

The Reds are planning to play a pre-season friendly at Anfield for the first time in five years. The last pre-season friendly at Anfield saw Rafael Benitez in the opposition dug-out as he brought his Valencia side to L4 for a 1-0 win.
Liverpool are in talks with Athletico Madrid officials about the friendly, pencilled in for Friday, August 8th but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
If the game goes ahead it will see popular Spaniard Luis Garcia return to Anfield for the first time since his departure.
