Houllier confident of derby success

Despite a largely encouraging display against Tottenham at Anfield last night, the goalless draw with the Londoners leaves the Reds with just two points from their opening three Premiership fixtures.

Gerard Houllier is fully aware of the mounting pressure he faces ahead of a crucial meeting with bitter rivals Everton, but he maintains that he has no real concerns over the form of his side so far this season.

Houllier said: "The derby will be a different story. I am delighted with the attitude and character my team are showing. The win will come as will the goals."
