Houllier confident over Owen deal

The Reds boss expects Owen - who netted twice in the 4-0 win over Blackburn - to announce his intention to remain on Merseyside before the end of the current campaign.

Houllier said: "I expect an announcement to be made about Michael before the end of the season and that it will confirm he is staying.

"Whatever Michael does I will respect him. But I both hope and believe that everything will be sorted out."
