"First of all we have to ackonwledge that Yeovil had a very good game," admitted Houllier. "Gary Johnson's men fought very hard and made it very difficult, and we knew that we would have to withstand the pressure for some time and probably try to tire them out.
"But in the second half we came out and didn't let them have a lot of the ball. It was just a matter of time as to when we would finish it.
"I think the boys were magnificent and played with a lot of professionalism about them. In those games attitude and commitment are key assets and we had that today.
"The spirit is so good in the team that it would have been a pity to to waste the opportunity to step up again."
