Gerard Houllier has again spoken about how important Danny Murphy is to his plans.

With speculation that another player has expressed his desire to quit in the summer following an alleged row, one thing that we do know is that the boss rates Danny very highly in his plans and he shouldn't be going anywhere.

"Danny has a big part to play for us and I don't expect any problems sorting things out," said Ged. "There won't be a problem unless Danny wants to leave, and I don't think that is the case. He knows the part we have played in helping him as a player."

Manchester City are believed to be monitoring Murphy's position at Anfield as manager Kevin Keegan is a fan. Nick Barmby is another player Keegan could move for in the summer.
