Houllier dismisses Didi exit rumours

Reports in the German press suggested that Stuttgart and Schalke had both showed an interest in the midfielder, but Houllier is confident he will extend his contract, which currently runs until summer 2005.

"I spoke to Didi yesterday and he never mentioned anything about leaving," said Houllier.

"If he performs at the level he is at the moment we will be happy to prolong his contract. But at the moment there is no talk about that."
