The Liverpool boss admits that his team didn't play well in the first half, but did better in the second and deserved the three points.

“When you have been on a high, as we were after Chelsea, you fear a dip or a depression and we had to be aware of that," he said after the game.

"We didn’t play well in the first half, when we hit too many long balls, but we were better in the second.

“For us, it was a game of mental stamina. We’re not playing particularly well at the moment, but we have gone back to basics to get a bit of solidity, and we are getting clean sheets again.”
