Houllier hails Heskey

The former Foxes forward scored a fine second goal at Anfield to give the Reds a hard-fought victory against Micky Adams' newly-promoted side and Houlllier hopes it is the first of many important strikes for the burly England international.

Houllier said: "Emile scored a great goal and a very important goal. He always works hard for the team and no-one has backed Emile Heskey more than me.

"What I want him to do now is to use his own assets more. He has power, he has strength and I want him to use it more. He is maybe going through a crisis in confidence but I like him, he is a lovely guy and I will keep backing him.

"He is a nice guy. He can maybe have a more killer instinct in front of goal yes, but I think this goal today will give him a lot of confidence."

How many will Heskey score this season?
