Liverpool, of course, can call upon the services of Jerzy Dudek - who was arguably the best goalkeeper in the Premiership last season. Houllier also has the French duo Pegguy Arphexhad and Patrice Luzi waiting for first team action.
Houllier said: "This is something we planned for. That is why we have four goalkeepers at the club. Apart from Chris we have Jerzy Dudek, Pegguy Arphexad and a young French keeper called Patrice Luzi. I am more than happy with that."
